Meet the Founder

Alexander (Sander) Terwindt is a Biological Engineering graduate from the University of Georgia and current pursing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University.

He founded Space Biosolutions to bridge the gap between space health and terrestrial biomedical innovation. His work spans device invention, intellectual property development, and translational health research.

From biological engineering student to PhD candidate and founder, here's the timeline of Alexander's path to creating Space Biosolutions.

2020

Started Biological Engineering studies at the University of Georgia, focusing on the intersection of engineering and biological systems.

2023

Research and Development of the Treadmill-Compatible Vibration Therapy Device

2024

December: Graduated from UGA with a degree in Biological Engineering

August: Started PhD studies in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University.

2025

February: Research and Development of Random Positioning Machine (RPM).

June: Provisional Patent filed for Treadmill-Compatible Vibration Therapy Device.

August: Research and Development of the Well Clip Gasket and Provisional Patent filed.

September: Founded Space Biosolutions LLC to bridge the gap between space health and terrestrial biomedical innovation. Began developing innovative biomedical devices and intellectual property for dual-use applications in space and Earth-based healthcare.
